Ubuntu 10.04 has continued to impress me throughout today, as I have began contributing again.
My internet connection hasn’t failed all day, whereas when jaunty was at this developmental stage, my internet was troublesome at the best of times. Not to mention firefox, which has survived having over 10 tabs open for alot of today.
I downloaded beta in order to help out reporting bugs etc, but as of yet, I haven’t found any :/.
After a few months of arch, I have finally gone back to my beloved Ubuntu, and just in time for ubuntu 10.04 ( Lucid Lynx)’s Beta release.
I had a bit of trouble sorting out my partitions and backing up my files, but once I was ready to install, installation was incredibly fast, much faster than I remember intrepid and jaunty being. The boot time is breakneck fast, even on my PC, so thats always a good sign

Thats my desktop, but I haven’t had much time to customise and tweak it yet, all i’ve done is changed the bottom panel so I have a weather applet

Anyway, first impressions are awesome, and I can’t tell you how good it feels to be back on ubuntu again
